MEDYA 2024

The 9th Mediterranean Yacht Show (MEDYS) concluded successfully in Nafplion after five days, during which Greece was in the spotlight of the global yachting community and yachting professionals.

Having emerged as the world’s largest crewed yacht charter show, MEDYS marked this year its 10th anniversary since its founding. Once again, it gathered the crème de la crème of yachts operating under Greek professional license, hundreds of industry professionals from around the world, and dozens of exhibitors with products and services related to yachting.

The 9th edition of the Show was held from April 27th to May 1st, 2024, at the port of Nafplion and once again highlighted the dynamics of Greek yachting, affirming its role as the spearhead of maritime tourism.

This year's Show set a record with 102 yachts with a cumulative LOA of 3.9 kilometers registered for participation within just a few days of registration opening, creating an extensive waiting list, while last minute charters prevented some of them from attending. The Show was visited by 760 industry professionals from 30 countries around the world. It is worth noting that only yachts measuring 24 meters and above in length have the right to participate in the Show, which is exclusively addressed to luxury yachting.

During the opening ceremony of the 9th Mediterranean Yacht Show held on Saturday, April 27, Mr. Michael Skoulikidis, President of the Greek Yachting Association, stated: “This year’s show holds special significance for all the members of the Greek Yachting Association. It marks a decade of continuous growth and unforgettable moments - a milestone that speaks volumes about our collective journey, passion, resilience and dedication to excellence. A decade ago, it was anchors aweigh for a dream. A dream to share the allure of Greek yachting with all the world and create a platform unlike any other for industry professionals. It took time and teamwork, but we turned that dream into reality. We are the world's largest crewed yacht charter show and have been so for several years. And we are certainly one of the most influential B2B events in the superyacht industry. The heart and soul that go into each year's show, the dedication of our team, and the support of our attendees, have been the wind in our sails. It was all of us, together, who firmly placed Greek yachting in the global spotlight. But our journey has involved much more than showcasing luxurious yachts. It has been about establishing and strengthening connections, initiating discussions, exchanging knowledge and information, raising awareness about important issues and ultimately driving change”.
